Missionary House Guidelines and Policies

MISSIONARY HOUSING GUIDELINE AND POLICIES
Central Coast Baptist Association

Purpose

  1. To offer residence accommodations to Southern Baptist missionary families serving with the International Mission Board who are on short-term stateside assignment.
  2. To encourage and foster the fellowship of our Southern Baptist Churches within Central Coast Baptist Association (CCBA) with the resident missionary families.
  3. To encourage the enhancement of the support of and belief in missions as an integral part of the activities of CCBA churches.

Application for Reservation of Housing

  1. The use of the missionary house is restricted to families serving in missions with the International Mission Board (IMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention unless otherwise approved by the Executive Board of CCBA.
  2. Residence in the mission house will be for minimum term of 6 months and a maximum term of 12 months while missionary family is on stateside assignment with the IMB. For terms shorter than six months a written proposal must be submitted with application to the CCBA to be presented to the Executive Board of CCBA.
  3. Reservation requests for use of the missionary house will be made through the CCBA office and their property management personnel.  Reservation request.

Reservations will not be accepted more than 24 months in advance.

CCBA Responsibilities

  1. The missionary house will be furnished with: furniture, appliances, linens, and kitchen utensils.
  2. The missionary house will be provided rent-free. Excluded are utilities, telephone, external TV hookups and services, and trash removal.
  3. The missionary residents and property management are to keep the Director of Missions office apprised and informed of housing status and other pertinent information.

Resident Responsibilities

  1. Residents are expected to care for and take reasonable precautions to protect the home and property during their stay, including normal house cleaning. Residents should also report to the property management personnel any needed repairs.
  2. Residents will be responsible for all utilities, phone, trash handling and pick-up, and outside TV connection and service fees.
  3. Furniture or other items may not be removed from the home or premises for storage or other purposes without prior written approval from the property management personnel of the CCBA.
  4. Standard, regular lawn care (equipment provided)
  5. Pets are not permitted on the premises.
  6. Change of or additions to landscaping must be pre-approved by the property management personnel of CCBA.
  7. Provide renters insurance on personal property.
  8. When vacating premises, the condition of the house and premises must be in at least the same or better condition as when residents moved in, except for normal wear and tear.
  9. A $250 security deposit is required within 30 days of CCBA acceptance of  the signed reservation. This deposit is refundable at the end of the term of stay in the Missionary house. The return of the deposit at the end of the stay is subject to adherence of the above requirements (Responsibilities 1-8).
  10. The resident missionary family agrees to interact with the churches of CCBA during your stay in the missionary house.
